We're heading up to the river on the 8/22 and will be staying at Rivernook campground. I have not been there in about five years. The past five we have stayed at Fairview. But the little woman wants a hot shower and real restroom. Has it changed? I remember it use to be real nice. I have never stayed there in the summer either. I use to go when school was in session to avoid the crowds.

It's still nice. The shade in there keeps the hot temps tolerable and the facilities are kept in good shape. I lived there for 3 years in the mid 80's and they've expanded triple since then. It's one of the most clean and secure camping areas for families around. It like staying at the Waldorf compared to the F.S. campgrounds.
