10th. anual St. Patricks Trip

Postby bnaginey » Wed Mar 31, 2010 12:38 am

We camped at and fished the the upper Kern River March 18 - 21. Six experienced anglers combined to land 21 trout in 3 full days of fishing. All between the day site just below the River Kern Store and the park. Each and every one were consumed. So many people fishing in town it may have been easier to catch a cold than a trout. So we spent our time in town at the Kern saloon. Thanks Deb! We fished between Headquarters and Camp 3 half the day Saturday with out a bite. Not a one! Despite the lack of action on the water the trip was amazing. Weather was perfect, the hospitality of the local businesses was exceptional, and my friends and I left the river with memories to last. As well as a few we may not be able to remember. In fact the guy's are urging me to organize another trip sooner than later. I will post a couple of pics when I figure out how to do so. Get up there and enjoy the wonders of the Kern valley!
