Wednesday, May 26 Kern River Hatchery stocked the upper Kern River from Riverside Park to Brush Creek. Alder, Cedar, Horse Meadow and Tule have not been cleared at this time for stocking but we'll get word out as soon as allowable.
Money generated from the Lake Isabella Fishing Derby allowed another 1200 pounds of the fighting Alper's trout to be stocked in the lake the same day. Holiday crowds are here but the fishing draw is too good to pass up on. Be careful on the roads and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
