The trout fishing in the Kern River is great. Both spinners and bait are working. Salmon eggs, crickets and night crawlers are all producing. River is flowing at 850cfs and clear.
Isabella is great for everything. The bass bite in the shallows and trees has been the best with 30-50 fish days and fish to 10lb common. Cat-fishing near the trees in north fork, Tillie creek and the south fork is great on shad and clams. Crappie are schooling up near the marinas, trees and rocks. Trout fishing is good near the old cemetery and deep at the main dam. Lake temp is 72-76 deg.
