Kern Valley Canyon Connection Community Forums

We got to the river last Thursday and it was a very hot 109. Imagine setting up camp in that heat. The river has never felt better. The fishing was very good about mid morning and in the evening. Had the best camp site we have ever had at the Kern, much better than Fairview and lot less rowdy. Hope to come back soon after Labor day. [attachment=0]Kern August 2010 159.JPG[/attachment]

Nice fish!
I was on the river over the weekend and the temps were much better, much more crowded also.
