My husband and I will be coming up next week to do a little fishing. It's been almost seven years, been tending to I'll parents so this is a much needed getaway. Hoping for some good river conditions. Can anyone advise how the fishing/river is at this time. Appreciate any feedback. We will be in the Kernville area. Thanks!

Not much activity being reported recently, but a 4 1/2 year old (I imagine with some help) had a string of 5 trout caught on salmon eggs. The area was the river area off Scodie Rd. also known as Rio Vista. Best reference is by the Rodeo Ground and they were across from the County Maintenance Yard.

DFG site show stocking starts April 7, but,
Rumors are they have already started stocking
