Posted: Sun May 12, 2013 9:17 pmI was in Eastern Sierras for the Opener and I was shocked at the water levels, Very low. With the early spring weather I expects that creeks to be high but there must be a light snow pack in the higher elevations. The light snow pack will obviously impact the Kern.

Posted: Sat May 18, 2013 8:53 pmI jsut checked at the flow was around 500 cfs. That is low for this time of year, but it makes for some nice fishing.

Posted: Mon May 20, 2013 7:55 pmFished the Kern last Wed-Fri, May 15-17, and the water level is way down; and dropping.
