Has anyone been up to X10 recently? I got a tag for the area this year. We done well in the past but wanted to find out the conditions of the area and the herd. I know the fires have been close as well. Any ideas? I will be up in 2 weeks to scout. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Back in June I saw a couple nice bucks in the old burn area along the road a few miles before you get to the KM area. I did a couple day hikes and and one backpacking trip up that way and didn't see much in the way of deer or sign but we were fishing and not really looking for deer. I was up in the Greenhorn area for the archery opener and things are very dry and dusty. The only horns we saw were a couple spikes. Also saw three bears over the weekend but of course none of us got a bear tag this year.

I will be up there the weekend of the 5th and 6th to do some serious scouting. I have always been picky about what I shoot when in that area. This year maybe different. I will let you know what I find.

Yes I know. I have been hunting and fishing that area for 30 + years. It is good to get info on the herd movement at different times of the year. I will stop by and talk with the DFG wardens that are stationed up there, They always have good info.

I went up on labor day weekend. There were a lot of bikes up there. Saw quite a few doe. Getting ready for next weekend. Anybody else have a tag for X10?
I will be up there all of the following week. Will post a report after I get back.
