Kern Valley Canyon Connection Community Forums

I would like to take my son squirrel hunting somewhere around the valley in early November. I discovered this summer that the place I used to hunt 20 years ago is now nothing but vacation homes. Any location info would be greatly appreciated. I tried to get help on another forum and all I received was "look for the right habitat" type answers. Unfortunately we don't have enough time available to scout potential squirrel areas... :) Here's hoping some of you while scouting for deer noticed squirrel populations! Thanks.

Over the piutes. Kelso valley Rd. up the switch backs to the top and work your way back to the other side down the Mt. rd back to kelso Valley rd. Go striaght and it will take you out the 14 or go left at the first intersection and it will take you back towards the lake. Always done real good. Mostly road hunting.
