Kern Valley Canyon Connection Community Forums

Was up around the lake last weekend 7/26 and 7/27 fishing the upper Kern and saw new baby quail that has to be the second hatch and to me its looking to be a better season this year. Also saw lots of dove fly all around, and I saw something I never saw up ther in 30 years 4 white wing doves flying around also saw them going haome on the south side of Lamount. Don't forget you can not shoot them in Kern County. Tried to get a little trap shooting in but got ran off by the RANGERS up in Kelso Valley, they said its close to all shooting due to the fires (ITS NOT POSTED)

There is an invasion species of dove call Eurasian Dove. The look like white wing and have a colar around their neck. There is a break in the colar on the front of the neck
They are larger than mourning or white wing.
I have been in Scottsdale AZ and there are dove everywhere (and quail ) I spend each evening watching the dove fly and calling in the quail. Cant wait for the dove opener
