Crappie are on! Kissack, French Gulch, Rocky point and most usual spots are going off. Fishing from shore one of my guests limited on pound average fish with lots of catch and release included. Hoping to get out today and give a personal report.

Thanks' for the heads-up. A buddy and I are planning to come up in the morning and it's nice to know the prospects are good.

The weather was greatand no wind at all until a breeze came up around 2pm, not bad at all for Isabella. Did real well stripping yellow buggars from the float tubes.

Gary glad to hear you did good. Where were you fishing?
I haven't got the flyrod out on the crappie yet but I will soon. That is my favorite way to catch them by far.
Fished from 8 till 10 this morning after dropping off the kids for school. I figured I should fish before the storm they're predicting. I went to the North Fork Marina for a dozen fish. It was definitely a "pick" bite. One couple was on a spot that was producing well for them and they easily limited, fishing the jig and bobber. Most said the bite was off from the last few days.
I moved around quite a lot looking for my own batch of fish but never found any concentration with only a fish here and there. I believe the bite is just starting and should get better the next few weeks. The prediction is for good weather next weekend.

I was up there on Sunday and was also fishing the cages. Really impressed with the numbers and sizes being pulled in. Can't wait to leave the Antelope Valley and go back up there!
