Question about stocking Johnsondale

We are coming up the whole week of the 21st. Want to take the kids up to the creeks but if they havent stocked since July 4 last year...no point. Webmaster...anyone, please any info would be appreciated.

the dfg is not allowed to stock the streams yet and thve not been stocked for about two years. The river is being stocked from fairview down to the park, the water is very high right now but by the 20th should be fishable. check the river flow just do a google search( kern river flows) anything below 3500 cfs should be fishable. the lake is very good for trout cats and crappie. hope this helps.

Don't know when or if they will stock. I do know they were stocking Peppermint Creek last year. I will see what I can find out this week.

We fished the river from riverkern up to Limestone and did great. Every body caught thier limit. I saw one guy who had 25 on one stringer, where are the gamewardens when you need one. The river was @ 2300cfs and very fishable. BIRDHUNTER
