Swim fishing

Postby willy » Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:53 pm

Was out and about along the river with my cameras and I observed this fellow sitting by his propped up pole. About the time I saw him his pole jerked and took off into the river. This fellow jumped up and jumped into the river after it and by the time he got it he was almost up to his neck. He managed to bring in the fish and it was a nice fat Rainbow about a foot. I got some of the action on my video and this picture is a capture from the video. The quality isn't as good as a snaphot but you can see how far he was in the water by his wet shirt.

Also got a nice shot of a beautiful rainbow in the shallows. Fishing up here has been excellent since the river and streams have gone down. If anyone gets up our way........... bring your pole.

It must have been kind of fun to watch him chase after his rig. The picture of the fish in the water is very good with the green plants for a backround.
thanks' for posting,
