I wanted to say thank you also. As FISH ON wrote it's been a long time comming and I'm glad you made the change. Like some others I've hung in here because I remember what this forum used to be like and now I think that maybe we can get back there. It may take a lttle while but I think we will start to hear from old familiar posters and a lot more new ones.

Thanks for all the work you have done and hopefully now it won't be hacked anymore.

I don't post too often, but read almost everyday.

Tight lines,

Hello to all,
I'm also happy for a new fresh start to this forum. I stumbled on it about 5 or 6 years ago and thought I found gold!
I don't post often, but check it daily. The times I did post, I was looking for information, and always received it with great kindness. Really enjoy the info and the fishing stories.
I have a great story of how my husband and I came to know of the Kern River, but, it may be too long to post.
Anyway, we both are in love with fishing on the Kern, but can't come up much anymore. So I live vicariously through your stories so..... KEEP 'EM COMING. Love the pics too!

It's only been a few days but the atmosphere is such an improvement it's hard to believe. I'm sure the changeover and set-up has been a lot of work for the Admin and probably will be for a while but the results so far have been great.

I echo Gary's thoughts.
Alot of people have left because of the couple jerks that always created problems and harassed people. With the registration format, the webmaster can control the content.
I stopped posting as frequently because of these people and spent more time on other boards.
Hope to see this site explode with quality informative and helpful posts. And even the occasional nonsense!!
I will handle the nonsense. Peace Out, My homies!!

Yes, I agree with the earlier posts, Thank you, we needed this new forum. I think everyone before was helpful to those who were not familiar with the Kern River area and activities. But occasionally there were those outsiders who tried to ruin a good thing, I hope, and think this new format will weed out the bad apples. Let's get the old timers back in here again, I'll be up there in a week or two, hopefully I'll have a good fish report.
