That is a new one to me. I'd like to hear more about it also if it's true.

Right now that's all it is...rumors. A lot of conflicting reports out there right now.

We've heard "official" statements from an USFS official that it will be stocked as rumored. However, in reading the DFG report and resulting comments by the plaintiffs, I wouldn't count on anything until you see the stock truck unloading up river.

It looks like the plaintiffs will continue their legal case based on their statement in last paragraph of their official response to the "faulty" EIS located at http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news ... -2009.html. “Because of Fish and Game’s wholesale failure to consider or mitigate the impacts of fish stocking on native species, we have no choice but to consider our legal options for forcing the Department to reevaluate,” said Noah Greenwald of Biological Diversity.

You can read the EIS at: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/news/pubnotice/hatchery/

I will be sure to report immediately when stocking returns and is confirmed. Would be nice for the forum to get back up with local catch reports. Too many are fishing elsewhere because of environmental group interference and government incompetence.

Please keep us update and be sure to let us know if you need more letter writing. I wrote a letter to the DFG and next thing ya know, the guy resigned. (I guess it may not have been my letter, but I was somewhat civil--heh,heh!)

Thanks! Looking forward to wildflowers with my fishing this spring...
