Upper Kern Trout

Some pretty tough fishing this weekend. The river is running real fast and only managed to land one avarage stocker. We'll be back in couple of weeks and try again. Could not have asked for better weather.

It's always good to be on the Kern. I saw a few bait fisherman doing OK at the power plant fishing right against the bank. The best I could do was farm one.

They've been planting 4 lb. trophy trout in that area and many were doing very well till the river flow went up. Try closer to the lake, they're doing real well there now.
