According to the DFG website, Kern stocking started March 3rd.

I am curious about stocking also. I'm planning a trip in a couple weeks and wanna know how the fishing is.

Yes stocking has been resumed on the Upper Kern. See new CDFG web page (search on Kern and Tuare Counties)
Stocking was not done on the Kern this week nor planned for next week but will resume after Easter 4/8/12. Be very careful when the river starts rising soon when the spring thaw resumes. The rafters will be happy for a just little while this year. Good luck at the mega trout derby in Isabella this weekend. I think that is where most of the trout were planted the last couple of weeks?

The DFG post on their website is a 'boilerplate notice' and is not adjusted to reflect actual plants.

Calduke, if I remember right both of these sites used to give more accurate information. They don't seem to anymore but at least there is a phone number and email address where you should be able to get first hand knowledge.
